On 20 February 2018, CEE Legal Matters announced the final nominees for the 2017 CEE Deal of the Year award in 17 CEE countries.
Ellex is proud to be nominated for the award in each of the three Baltic States:
Maag Grupp Acquisition of TERE from Elveda – Ellex advised AS Maag Grupp, one of the leading dairy and meat processing companies in Estonia, in connection with its acquisition of all the shares of Tere AS from its bankrupt parent company, Elveda OU.
LHV and Livonia Partners and Ambient Sound Investments’ Acquisition of Stake in C-Gates – Ellex (formerly Primus) advised Polaris Invest and Com Holding, the shareholders of C-gates, the second largest cable operator in Lithuania, on the sale of a stake in the company to Livonia Partners.
Uniper Sale of Stake in AS Conexus Baltic Grid to AST – Ellex advised Uniper Ruhrgas International GmbH on the sale of its stake in AS Conexus Baltic Grid — Latvia’s unified natural gas transmission system operator and natural gas storage system operator.
IRI Investments (IKEA) Acquisition of UAB Pamario jegainiu energija – Ellex represented Stichting AE Fund Management (the Netherlands) and Orion Alternative Energy Fund (Lithuania) on the transfer of 100% of the shares in UAB Pamario jegainiu energija to an investment SPV of IKEA. This was the Swedish furniture giant’s first investment in Lithuania’s renewables sector.
The nominees have been selected by a panel of lawyers on the ground in each jurisdiction, reviewing submissions coming from across the CEE.
The winners will be selected by a separate expert panel of 16 specialists. The award winners will be announced at the CEE Legal Matters Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony in Prague, on 6 June 2018.
