Ellex Klavins organizes Investors` Voice in cooperation with FICIL and Pedersen & Partners

On 22 October 2015, the annual investment forum Investors' Voice was held at the hotel Radisson Blu Rīdzene, which was organized by Ellex Klavins, FICIL and Pedersen & Partners. The objective of the forum is to facilitate discussion about topical issues concerning investments in Latvia, taking into account changes in the European economics, as well as analyse the current situation and future prospects for economic development.
This year’s topic at the forum was “Grow bigger or die. Consolidation versus organic growth in a maturing market” or “Audz lielāks vai mirsti. Konsolidācija pretstatā dabīgai izaugsmei attīstītā tirgū” in Latvian.

At the forum the entrepreneurship opinion was represented by Vladislavs Mironovs, Manager for Strategic Development of the Bank Citadele; Deniss Sazonovs, Board Member of ERGO; Normunds Staņēvičs, Executive Manager of Food Union; Martins Reinsons, Partner of BMP Capital; and Toms Didrihsons, Board Member of NP Foods.

The expert opinion, on the other hand, was voiced by Vjačeslavs Dombrovskis, former Minister of Economics of Latvia; Kārlis Krastiņš, Managing Partner of Prudentia; Ģirts Greiškalns, Executive Director of FICIL; and Līga Merwin, Partner of Ellex Klavins.

This year the forum attracted many participants and raised interesting discussions during both the official part and unofficial part, which continued at restaurant “Piramīda”. Opinions of the participants differed; however, all in all, they all reached a consensus that each situation in the respective sector needs to be assessed individually, and it is not possible to develop an ubiquitous solution suitable for all situations.

Pedersen & Partners is one of the top executive recruitment companies in the world, and the only 100% integrated international recruitment company in Latvia.
FICIL (The Foreign Investors' Council in Latvia) is a non-governmental organisation of largest companies from various countries and sectors that have taken part in significant investments in Latvia, as well as eleven countries' Chambers of Commerce in Latvia.
