Erik Seim is a lawyer at Ellex in Estonia who mainly focuses on the areas of logistics and transit, competition law and state aid.
Before joining Ellex in Estonia, Erik worked at the railway company AS E.R.S. — a railway operations subsidiary of AS Vopak E.O.S. (now named AS Liwathon E.O.S.) that has been recognised as the most successful company in Estonia on a number of occasions. First as an in-house counsel and then as a member of the Management Board, Erik participated in the preparation and performance of all major transactions (including the provision of railway transportation and rolling stock repair services, purchase and sale of rolling stock and authorisation), coordinated dispute resolutions (including access to cross-border railway infrastructure, the legality of railway user fees) and company optimisation (including restructuring, increasing cost-effectiveness of services, selling assets).
Erik previously practised in the Southern and Northern District Prosecutor’s Office, the Ministry of Justice and law firms in Estonia and the United Kingdom.
