Lelde Elīna Liepiņa is a junior associate who specializes in banking and finance as well as in corporate and M&A. Lelde provides legal assistance to clients in corporate deals concerning EU and national laws and regulations. Lelde continues to improve her knowledge both by studying for a Master of Law and by participating in moot court competitions and other extracurricular activities.

Lelde has also gained experience in dealing with other legal issues, in particular, with EU law and compliance. Lelde’s previous experience with EU law gives valuable knowledge to assist other colleagues in both local and cross-border deals.

Environmental, social and governance (ESG) reporting has become a major regulatory issue in Europe. Non-financial disclosure is seen as playing a key role in helping the financial sector address climate change and sustainability. It is also being used to assess and improve problems such as poor workplace diversity and gender pay gaps.
