We represented leading Estonian telecommunication company Telia Company
We represented the leading Estonian telecommunication company Telia Company in the court proceeding about the acquisition of the shares of Eesti Telekom. The Supreme Court refused to hear the supplemental appeal of the minority shareholders.
Telia was represented in the proceeding by partner Toomas Vaher and associate Martin Mäesalu of the Ellex Raidla team.
According to Äripäev, two lower instance courts ordered 951,835 euros to be paid to the minority shareholders of Eesti Telekom in the dispute with Telia Company (formerly known as Telia Sonera) but partner at Kawe Kapital Kristjan Hänni, who represented the minority shareholders with the law firm Sorainen, requested a five-fold amount through the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court refused to hear the case and the proceeding is terminated.
