Ellex – M&A Legal Advisor of the Year in the Baltics

On December 10, Ellex was recognised as the M&A Legal Advisor of the Year in the Baltics by Mergermarket European M&A Awards 2020.

Only one winner per category is selected,  making this a true appreciation of the outstanding work performed by the Ellex team during this difficult year.

We have been able to maintain high transaction activity throughout the uncertain times created by the pandemic crisis, although such activity has halved globally. There was a slight pause in the spring that gave worry, as our clients assessed the impact of the crisis on companies and deals.  However, we can confirm that there turned out to be no predicted M&A market crisis, and we had one more successful year. We are glad that our clients trusted us and that we were able to help them to advance their business even in these turbulent times.

The Mergermarket panel of judges assessed the work performed by law firms from November 2019 to November 2020. Over the period, Ellex has advised on a wealth of transactions. Some of the largest pan-Baltic deals were: Veho acquisition of Silberauto, Brink’s acquisition of global cash management business from G4S (deal value USD 860M), institutional infrastructure investors‘ acquisition of Adven Infrastructure Investment Fund, representing Three Seas Initiative Investment Fund in the acquisition of MCF Group Estonia OÜ, the 100 million euro state of art greenergy datacenter in the region.
