Janar Pilve is a lawyer at Ellex in Estonia, specializing in criminal law, criminal procedure, and information security law, with a focus on litigation and legal advisory services.
He has extensive experience and in-depth knowledge in these fields. Before joining Ellex in Estonia, Janar Pilve worked as an information security expert at the Cyber Security Center of the Estonian Information System Authority from 2024 to 2025 and as a prosecutor from 2018 to 2024. In these roles, he contributed significantly into the safeguarding of the Estonia’s digital achievements. At the Prosecutor’s Office, in addition to combating cybercrimes, Janar focused also on leading pre-trial proceedings, representing the state in prosecutions and fostering international cooperation in economic crimes.
His focus on information security law, criminal law, and criminal procedure has given him a strong foundation for understanding the intersections between law and technology.
