Jevgenijs Salims Becomes Associate Partner of Ellex in Latvia

We are proud to announce that Jevgenijs Salims, being one of the most experienced experts of the Ellex team in Latvia, has been appointed to the position of the associate partner. As the leading expert of the Dispute Resolution Practice, Jevgenijs boasts more than 25 years of experience in legal practice with his excellent expertise in applying legal provisions and resolving complicated disputes. Jevgenijs will become the Co-Head of the Dispute Resolution Practice overseeing litigation matters.

Jevgenijs has developed his professional career while acting as a justice of the court of appeals and, later on, practicing in the top law firms of Latvia as an attorney. He is also an arbitrator at the Arbitration Court of the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry which implies his authority and utmost professional acumen in the law.

Jevgenijs mostly specializes in commercial law and contract law, insurance and indemnity disputes, insolvency and restructuring, as well as issues of liability of members of the management board and supervisory board of companies. He advises and represents clients in complicated judicial proceedings before all instances of the public court and the court of arbitration on regular basis. He has also successfully represented clients before the Constitutional Court of Latvia and the Court of Justice of the European Union.
