Advised a creditor in the largest transaction in the Baltic renewable energy sector
Atsinaujinančios energetikos investicijos, an investment company managed by Lords LB Asset Management, together with a fund managed by Taaleri Energia in Finland, has acquired 186 megawatts (MW) of developed wind farms in Lithuania from the Danish company European Energy.
Ellex in Lithuania lawyers advised a creditor, the Danish fund AIP II Holding 4 K / S, in providing financing for wind farms.
This is the largest transaction in the Baltic renewable energy sector. The parks will produce about 560 GWh of electricity per year, enough to supply up to 270 000 households.
The first power plants will start operating this year, and the construction of all parks is planned to be completed by the end of 2022. The wind farms are planed in Anykščiai, Jonava and Rokiškis areas.
The project was implemented by senior associate Eglė Neverbickienė, associate Eglė Radvilaitė, partner Giedrius Stasevičius, junior associate Ainis Augustas Petrulis, as well as associate Ieva Krivickaitė, senior associate Edvinas Beikauskas and senior associate Gabrielė Vazniokaitė.
