Successful outcome for Sky in a trademark case

We are continuously supporting Sky International AG in protecting their SKY brand by opposing any trademarks that could cause confusion with Sky’s family of marks.

In 2023 we represented the client in bringing opposition proceedings against the registration of figurative mark Skyline by SIA Silver Kino. After ongoing attempts to find an amicable solution and partial voluntary withdrawal, the negotiations broke down in late 2023. The client’s opposition application was reviewed at a BoA hearing in late April 2024, with the BoA satisfying the opposition for most goods/services sought.
