Jüri Raidla will join Ellex in Estonia team as counsel
We have the honor to announce that Jüri Raidla, the former senior partner of Ellex in Estonia, started working as a counsel from January 1, 2023.
Jüri Raidla is the founder of Ellex in Estonia, a former senior partner, and Estonia’s most recognized legal practitioner. In the Baltic States, he is the only one to have been ranked in the highest category of SENIOR STATESMAN by Chambers & Partners, the world’s largest legal services research firm. Jüri Raidla was the first Minister of Justice of the re-independent Estonia (1990-1992), as well as Chairman of the Constitutional Assembly.
Shortly before the Ellex in Estonia was founded and launched, Jüri worked as the first Executive Director of the then-newly established Estonian Banking Association.
Since 25 November 2009, Jüri has been working on state reform on a pro bono basis. Among his pro bono activities, his work as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Tartu also deserves to be mentioned.
Jüri also has a wonderful hobby – running and developing Raidla Oaks on the land of his birthplace in Pärnu County. He started developing the farm when he was about to turn 50.
Today the farm has 96 oak trees (plus quite a few oaks without a named planter). The most recent oak planters were Ellex in Estonia new partner Antti Perli and the President of Estonia Alar Karis.
