Dispute resolution practice has successfully advised on an aviation dispute exceeding USD 4 million

Ellex in Lithuania Dispute Resolution practice has successfully defended its client’s – a Nigerian company – interests in a dispute over the sale of a prestigious business class aircraft.

The Vilnius Regional Court awarded the client USD 4 million debt, USD 1.2 million interest, and EUR 25 thousand costs after the seller terminated the negotiations and reserved 50% of the advance payment for himself.

The dispute is exceptional due to its object – aviation disputes between businesses are not common in Lithuanian courts.
