Ellex in Latvia supports doctors involved in treating Covid-19 patients

This Holiday Season Ellex in Latvia presented two coffee machines and coffee bean supplies to medical staff of the Centre of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases (one of the five clinical centres of the Riga East Clinical University Hospital), where Covid-19 patients are treated.

Liga Merwin, managing partner at Ellex in Latvia, comments: “This is a difficult time for doctors, who are tirelessly fighting for the lives of the most severely affected Covid-19 patients. Being aware of the fact that we are unable to change the situation, we looked for a way to express our gratitude to our medics and appreciation of their contribution to fighting against Covid-19. We found out that there is a small, but extremely important thing that medical staff is missing at work – the possibility to have a cup of coffee at any time of the day. Therefore, we decided to help and took care of it!”

Andra Cirule, Chief physician at the Centre of Tuberculosis and Lung Diseases adds: “We are thankful to the law firm Ellex in Latvia for the meaningful support during the Covid-19 pandemic. We are delighted to receive the gift, which is consequently an appreciation of the honest and responsible work of our hospital physicians and staff, who are fighting for the health and lives of Covid-19 patients. We have to be united to overcome this Covid-19 pandemic, therefore, it is crucial to understand the situation and support each other in order to be strong and healthy.
