Dr. Tadas Varapnickas is an Associate Partner working in the field of litigation and international arbitration. The lawyer has accumulated valuable experience in representing clients in complex arbitration cases under the regulations of SCC, ICC, LCIA, VCCA, UNUM and other arbitration institutions. His exceptional experience in international arbitration is confirmed by his inclusion in the first Legal 500 list of the best arbitration specialists in the region, Arbitration Powerlist 2021: Central and Eastern Europe. Tadas also represents clients in the courts of general jurisdiction and administrative courts, and his experience includes disputes regarding the performance and termination of contracts, the application of civil liability, annulment of administrative penalties, etc. The lawyer has accumulated many years of experience working in a law firm, as well as serving as an adviser on legal affairs to the President Dalia Grybauskaitė.
Dr. T. Varapnickas is also a lecturer at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law, author (and co-author) of various scientific publications, and editor of the only arbitration-related journal in Lithuania “Arbitration. Law and Practice”. In 2018 Tadas was elected as the lecturer of the year at the Vilnius University Faculty of Law. Tadas is also a graduate of the Paris Arbitration Academy and LLM in International Dispute Resolution at the University of Geneva.
