Irina Alas is a lawyer at Ellex in Estonia whose primary area of practice is dispute resolution. She has in-depth knowledge of the court system, thorough expertise in civil and administrative court proceedings, and extensive experience in handling a wide range of civil and administrative matters. Irina represents clients both in court proceedings and in alternative dispute resolution.

She holds a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Tartu and has further developed her expertise through exchange studies at the University of Oslo, where her academic focus was on intellectual property law and international commercial arbitration. She has also completed specialised training in alternative dispute resolution, including the legal framework and psychological aspects of mediation and conciliation.

Irina Alas has contributed to the commented edition of the Code of Civil Procedure as a co-author of several annotated provisions. Prior to joining Ellex, she worked at the Administrative Chamber and the Civil Chamber of the Tallinn Circuit Court, as well as at a bailiff’s office.
