Ellex Counsel Maria Teder appointed as a member of the Sports Arbitration of the Estonian Olympic Committee

Maria Teder, Ellex counsel with considerable experience in arbitration, has been appointed as a member of the Sports Arbitration of the Estonian Olympic Committee.

The executive committee of the Estonian Olympic Committee appointed the members of the sports arbitration for three years. The composition confirmed on April 20, 2023, includes:

• Jaak Uudmäe – Olympic champion (Chairman of the Arbitration)
• Maria Teder  – attorney-at-law
• Kaspar Lind – attorney-at-law
• Kairis Ulp – sports figure
• Erki Vabamets – attorney-at-law

The competence of arbitration includes the settlement of complaints filed by or against the members of the Estonian Olympic Committee, as well as if other parties active in sports have agreed to turn to arbitration in order to obtain an impartial solution. The operation and administration of the work of sports arbitration is ensured by the Estonian Olympic Committee.
