Ellex in Estonia appoints Merlin Liis-Toomela as head of data protection & IT law
Starting from February 1, 2025, Ellex in Estonia will have its own head of the data protection and IT law practice – Merlin Liis-Toomela.
Merlin has more than 10 years of experience advising clients on matters related to data protection, intellectual property, and IT law. She is an internationally recognized expert in the field of data protection and holds the European Data Protection Professional Certification CIPP/E issued by the IAPP (International Association of Privacy Professionals).
Additionally, Merlin is a member of the Estonian Bar Association’s Intellectual Property and IT Law Committee, thereby she is actively contributing to issues related to IT legislation and practice, i.e. analysing existing legislation and practice as well as drafting and advising on proposed amendments.
