Defendec defended its rights in a dispute with a US sales agent

Defendec dispute with US sales agent concerned the performance of an agency agreement for promoting and selling the company’s products in the United States. Ellex in Estonia represented Estonian defence industry company Defendec OÜ in the matter.

The dispute concerned the quality of services provided under the agreement and the corresponding payment obligations. Ellex in Estonia advised the client on the legal analysis of the matter, represented the client in court proceedings and participated in settlement negotiations aimed at resolving the dispute.

The matter involved a cross-border contractual relationship between an Estonian company and a sales representative operating in the United States. It raised issues relating to contractual performance, service quality and payment claims.
