Plasta Group is Acquired by a UK Household Products Manufacturer
Plasta Group, a leading producer of plastic products with manufacturing facilities in Lithuania and Sweden and a trading company in Germany, has been acquired by the UK-based household goods manufacturer Cedo.
Ellex Valiunas represented the sellers of Plasta Group – Accession Capital Partners and Hillary Denmark – in the sale of shares to strategic investor Cedo.
This is one of the largest M&A transactions in Lithuania this year.
Renowned for its innovative approach, Plasta utilizes plastic waste as raw material for its products. With three factories in Lithuania and Sweden, the company boasts an annual recycling capacity of approximately 4,000 tons and produces over 36,000 tons of recycled plastic products, including trash bags and other household items.
Cedo is a market leader in manufacturing single-use household essentials for the private label sector within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) market. This pivotal transaction positions Cedo as one of Europe’s largest integrated platforms for circular plastic film production.
Ellex Valiunas’ significant involvement in the transaction ensured a seamless process for the seller. The legal team was led by Partners Robertas Čiočys and Lauras Butkevičius, supported by Senior Associates Augustinas Mačionis and Andrej Jemeljanov, Associate Mykolas Tamulionis and Junior Associate Eglė Petrošiūtė.
