Representing Sõbra Ärikeskus OÜ in a lease dispute with Bauhof Group AS
Ellex partner in Estonia Arne Ots and attorney Marika Kütt advised and represented Sõbra Ärikeskus OÜ in a dispute with Bauhof Group AS regarding the validity of four lease agreements.
The dispute arose when Bauhof Group AS, as the tenant, terminated one of the lease agreements and reduced the rent stipulated in three others.
Harju County Court issued a partial judgment in favour of Sõbra Ärikeskus OÜ, which the Court of Appeal upheld. Subsequently, the parties reached a settlement, under which Bauhof Group AS was required to pay Sõbra Ärikeskus OÜ the entire outstanding rent debt and interest, and the terms of the lease agreements were amended.
