Hendrik Viimsalu is an associate at Ellex in Estonia whose main areas of practice are capital markets, banking, and financial services regulation. He advises issuers, investors, and financial sector companies on public offerings, the admission of securities to trading, and regulatory matters, both during the issuance process and after admission to trading.

Hendrik has participated in several significant capital market transactions, including large-scale bond offerings and initial public offerings (IPOs) of shares, follow-on offerings, and delistings.

In addition, he advises financial sector companies and publicly traded companies on their relations with regulators, and on matters of financial instruments and services regulation and corporate law.

Hendrik holds a bachelor’s degree in law (2024) and a master’s degree in law (2026) from the University of Tartu and furthered his studies at the Salzburg Summer School of Comparative Private Law in Austria. Before joining Ellex, he gained experience at law firms, in the public sector, and in the banking sector.
