“Greta is a highly qualified data protection expert with a proven track record of handling complex privacy and data protection matters. Greta brings not only outstanding legal expertise, but also valuable international experience and a strong specialisation,” says Dr. Ąžuolas Čekanavičius, Partner at Ellex Lithuania and Head of the Intellectual Property, Technology & Data Protection team.

Greta is a certified privacy and AI governance professional, holding CIPP/E, CIPM and AIGP certifications. She has gained extensive international experience working for leading banks in Denmark and the United Arab Emirates.

“I specialise in data protection, artificial intelligence, and other areas of European Union digital regulation. During my career, I have worked in international organisations, advising cross-border teams, addressing complex compliance challenges, and contributing to multinational projects. This experience has given me a deep understanding of the needs of international businesses while allowing me to develop practical solutions that reduce legal risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and support business growth across different markets.

By advising both Lithuanian and international organisations, I help them not only identify the legal risks associated with emerging technologies, but also develop practical approaches for designing, implementing, and using innovative technologies in a safe and responsible manner. I believe that regulatory compliance creates a competitive advantage and strengthens customer trust,” says Greta Bujutė, Associate Partner at Ellex Lithuania.

Greta also serves as the KnowledgeNet Chapter Chair for Lithuania at the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), where she is responsible for bringing together the local privacy community and organising events on privacy and AI governance. Founded in 2000, the IAPP is the world’s largest privacy and AI governance community, with more than 90,000 members and over 160 local chapters worldwide.
