Ellex in Estonia advised Defendec, a hardware company developing autonomous security control platforms, in their recent funding rounds.

Defendec is a Tallinn-based company that develops technology for wireless surveillance systems.

The company’s flagship security system, consisting of a cameras triggered by motion detectors, is used to guard international borders and sites such as oil pipelines, especially in remote areas. It is currently used by the Estonian border patrol to prevent illegal border crossing and smuggling.

“The problem can be solved with Defendec sensor devices, which have already proven their usefulness on NATO’s eastern border,” said Kakko.
