Balderton led €3.5M funding round for Cino
Ellex in Estonia has advised Balderton Capital, who has successfully led a €3.5 million seed funding round to support Cino’s mission to revolutionize shared payments with the introduction of the first virtual card that splits and pays group bills instantly. The funding round was also contributed to by Connect Ventures, Tera Ventures, and prominent angel investors, including Barney Hussey-Yeo, the founder of Cleo.
Cino is the only real-time shared payments app, enabling people to pay together in a single, seamless transaction. The bank-agnostic solution works across the EU, and soon the UK. With this latest funding, Cino will expand further across Europe, launching new shared payment features and exploring new verticals including B2B payments and rent.
Balderton Capital is a venture capital firm based in London that invests in early-stage technology and internet startup companies in Europe. They have raised significant funds to support European technology companies and continue to be one of the leading venture capital firms in the region.
