gategroup expands into the Baltics with LSG acquisition[

Ellex advised gategroup on its acquisition of LSG’s inflight catering and retail activities in Latvia and Estonia.

gategroup, a global leader in airline catering, has acquired 100% of LSG’s operations in Latvia and Estonia from Aurelius, expanding its Northern European network into the Baltic region.

As a result of the transaction, gategroup will integrate LSG’s established operations at Riga International Airport and Tallinn Airport into its global network. The acquired business employs approximately 250 people across both locations. The acquisition marks an important step in gategroup’s long-term growth strategy and reflects the company’s selective geographic expansion while responding to the increasing trend of airlines outsourcing catering operations.

Ellex in Latvia advised gategroup on the Latvian aspects of the transaction, while Ellex in Estonia provided legal support on the Estonian side.
